Terms & Conditions — Unlocking Spanish

These Terms & Conditions apply to all students enrolled in Spanish classes with Unlocking Spanish. By joining the classes, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

1. Class Format & Subscription

All classes are offered as a monthly subscription.

  • Your place in a small group (maximum 4 students) is reserved exclusively for you each month.
  • The subscription renews automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled according to the cancellation policy below.
  • Payment is charged monthly.

2. Cancellation Policy (IMPORTANT)

You may cancel your subscription at any time, as long as you notify us at least 7 days before the start of the next month.

  • If you cancel 7 days or more before the new month begins, your subscription will end at the end of the current month and you will not be charged for the following month.
  • If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the new month, the cancellation cannot be applied to that upcoming month. In this case, your subscription will continue for the next month and will only be cancelled at the end of that month.

Once a new month has started, the subscription for that month cannot be cancelled or refunded.

This policy allows us to keep groups stable and well organised.

3. No Rescheduling & No Refunds

Classes take place in fixed small groups.

For this reason:

  • Classes cannot be rescheduled if you are unable to attend.
  • No refunds are offered for missed classes.

All classes are recorded. If you miss a session, you can watch the recording and review the materials later.

4. Class Recordings

  • Classes are recorded for educational purposes only.
  • Recordings are available exclusively to enrolled students through the Unlocking Spanish Classroom.
  • Recordings may not be shared, downloaded, distributed or used outside the course.

5. Learning Materials & Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Unlocking Spanish — including documents, videos, recordings, exercises and written notes — are the intellectual property of Unlocking Spanish.

  • Materials are for personal use only.
  • They may not be shared, copied, distributed, resold or used for teaching or commercial purposes.
  • Access to materials is granted only while your subscription is active.

Any misuse of materials may result in removal from the classes without refund.

6. Classroom Access

Students receive access to the Unlocking Spanish Classroom, where class notes, materials and recordings are uploaded.

  • Access is linked to an active subscription.
  • Access may be removed once the subscription ends.

7. Student Conduct

Students are expected to:

  • Attend classes respectfully and punctually.
  • Treat teachers and fellow students with kindness and respect.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive and positive learning environment.

Unlocking Spanish reserves the right to remove any student whose behaviour disrupts the group.

8. Changes to Classes

Unlocking Spanish reserves the right to:

  • Make minor schedule changes when necessary.
  • Provide a substitute teacher in case of illness or unforeseen circumstances.

Whenever possible, students will be informed in advance.

9. Limitation of Liability

Unlocking Spanish is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues on the student’s side (internet connection, device problems, etc.).
  • Missed classes due to personal circumstances.
